Evanssion signs distribution agreement with Rubrik

Evanssion, value added distributor for cloud transformation and information security solutions, signed a distribution agreement with Rubrik, a converged data management company. The agreement enables Rubrik to expand its presence in the Middle East and Africa, while allowing Evanssion to broaden its portfolio and serve a greater variety of requirements.

Rubrik’s converged data management software powers the company’s r300/r500 series appliances, which deliver automated backup, instant recovery, unlimited replication, and data archival at infinite scale. The company was recently named a Gartner Cool Vendor in Storage Technologies.

“Rubrik is the game changing innovation for data protection in the last two decades, and the company’s steep growth in North America has proven that,” said Bipul Sinha, Co-founder and CEO of Rubrik. “The demand for our solutions has increased significantly, and we are excited to partner with Evanssion to bring our solutions to customers in the Middle East.”

Rubrik has also announced the appointment of Karl Driesen as Head of EMEA Sales. As the former Vice President, EMEA at Palo Alto Networks, Driesen built a team of over 200 employees and a $200 million business in five years. Most recently, Driesen was a Vice President with Elastica.

Rubrik currently has several deployments with customers in business services, finance and government sectors. Headquartered in Palo Alto, the company has raised over $51 million from Greylock Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners and enterprise IT luminaries including John W Thompson, Frank Slootman, and Mark Leslie.
