Intel Security announced continued growth and product integrations across its extensive partner ecosystem, the Intel Security Innovation Alliance. Check Point, Huawei and other industry-leading companies have joined the Intel Security Innovation Alliance to provide a truly integrated, connected security ecosystem that maximises the investment customers are making in their cybersecurity infrastructure.
One year ago, at its FOCUS 15 event, Intel Security unveiled a new strategy emphasising an integrated, open security system powered by a connected architecture across Intel Security and third-party products alike. Since that time, the Intel Security Innovation Alliance has executed on that strategy, doubling the number of partner companies that have existing, or are developing, technology integrations with McAfee Data Exchange Layer.
McAfee DXL provides a standardised integration and communications fabric for products regardless of underlying proprietary architecture. This open security architecture enables customers to integrate their solutions and gain visibility across their IT environment, analysing data more efficiently and yielding more available and actionable intelligence.
“In today’s quickly evolving threat landscape, security products that do not interact with each other not only increase operational cost, they increase risk,” said DJ Long, Head of the Intel Security Innovation Alliance. “By joining forces with industry leaders, the Intel Security Innovation Alliance is providing a truly integrated, unified security ecosystem, enabling rapid deployment, simplified management and maximised protection.”
Highlights include:
Check Point
The integration between McAfee DXL, McAfee Threat Intelligence Exchange and Check Point firewall products enables intelligence sharing and workflow optimisation. Real-time communication between these products allows customers to scale and automate their security environment, thereby saving time and resources.
HP Enterprise Aruba
Intel Security products McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator and McAfee Enterprise Security Manager now integrate with Intel Security Innovation Alliance partner HPE Aruba product ClearPass. This cross-vendor integration covers two dimensions in the latest advanced security protection paradigm: threat intelligence sharing, and automatic detection and remediation.
Huawei
Together, Huawei and Intel Security will work to provide indicators of compromise data alerts to McAfee DXL and McAfee TIE, providing dynamic behavior analytics and intelligence sharing to customers.
MobileIron
FOCUS 16 marks the one-year anniversary of the Intel Security and MobileIron partnership through the Intel Security Innovation Alliance. In the past year, the companies have integrated solutions to solve three key issues facing the enterprise today: extending data protection to mobile devices, addressing mobile threat protection, and unifying admin workflows and user experience between mobile and endpoint devices.
Through the Intel Security Innovation Alliance customers will now have the added capability of user behavior analytics. Security professionals now can deploy a new wave of user behavior analytics products to accelerate attack detection and incident response and pinpoint anomalies in real time. User behavior analytics automates the detection of attacks and risk behaviors inside an organisation and can dramatically reduce the time and skill needed to investigate and respond to security events. Through their integration with McAfee ESM Intel Security Innovation Alliance partners now providing user behavior analytics include CyberArk, Exabeam, Fortscale, Gurucul, Interset, Niara and Securonix.
