Logicom, a regional distributor of solutions and services, hosted a launch event around its Logicom Cloud Marketplace in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event marked the official announcement of Logicom’s appointment as a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider in the region, as well as the launch of the Logicom Cloud Marketplace in Saudi Arabia.
The Logicom Cloud Marketplace will operate under the executive sponsorship of Microsoft, one of the group’s key strategic technology partners and a global technology leader that has been key to the technology transformation in the new digital era.
Logicom Cloud Director Georgios Georgiou was on hand to present the Logicom Cloud Marketplace, and emphasise Logicom’s dedication to offering the Saudi Arabian market advanced cloud solutions and helping partners and their customers move forward in the new cloud environment.
Regional Director of Logicom Gulf and Saudi Arabia, Mounir Sarkis, said: “The Saudi Market is extremely vital for Logicom and has been consistently one of the fastest growing geographies over the last few years, contributing just under 20% of the Group’s revenue in FY15. Technology is changing and so are we as Logicom.”
“The Saudi Market is also developing and maturing rapidly, a trend which is projected to continue, particularly following the announcement of digitisation being set as one of the key pillars of Vision 2030. We have made significant investments in Saudi and we will continue to do so, in order to execute our Vendors’ strategies as well as to enable and lead the transformation of our partners into the digital era.”
The Logicom cloud marketplace launch event also featured presentations from both local Logicom team and Management Executives regarding the business potential of further developing cloud opportunities.
Previously in November, Logicom hosted the Logicom Solutions Forum, at the Liza Beirut in November. The Logicom Solutions Forum marks the company’s bold steps into the cloud solutions environment, and was the platform for the launch of the Logicom Cloud Marketplace in Lebanon.
More than 100 partners from the ICT industry in Lebanon attended the event. Logicom Cloud Director, Georgios Georgiou was on hand to present the Logicom Cloud Marketplace, and emphasise Logicom’s dedication to offering the Lebanese market advanced cloud solutions and helping partners and their customers move forward in the new cloud world.
The Logicom Cloud Marketplace is a result of Logicom’s appointment as Indirect Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider in Lebanon. In order to provide the full range of cloud solutions to the local channel, Logicom is currently seeking to bring a number of international cloud vendors on board in order to ensure the needs of all partners in every market are met.
Microsoft Country Manager Hoda Younan said: “During their two-decade long partnership Logicom and Microsoft have endeavoured to bring their partners and customers the best-in-class products and solutions to support their business. Logicom’s appointment as Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider lives up to this tradition and accelerates our partners’ and customers’ digital transformation.”
General Manager of Logicom Lebanon, Toni Azzi, said: “We are very excited about this new development alongside our strategic partner, Microsoft, and are proud to once again lead the transformation of the ICT industry in Lebanon. Logicom aims to offer our Lebanese partners the opportunity to grow and transform their business, and promote their services through the Cloud in new geographies.”
