Synology eyes Middle East growth following Synology Solutions Day

Synology is anticipating growth in the Middle East region following Synology Solutions Day

Senior executives from Synology met with customers and channel partners and demonstrated their latest file sharing and surveillance solutions to a number of channel partners.

Synology, a global leading mid-range network attached storage vendor, sees a huge potential for growth in the Middle East following its annual Solutions Day event held at Dubai’s Nassima Royal Hotel.

The event was attended by more than 100 customers, channel resellers and implementation partners. Synology presented its latest business file server and centralised data protection, as well as Synology’s surveillance solutions.

Nick Jheng, Synology’s Regional Manager for the Middle East, said that while the vendor has an installed base in the region, there is still huge potential for growth.

“We realised that there are still a lot of potential markets and verticals that could be explored in this region. We are the number one brand for mid-range network attached storage, and we would like to increase our brand awareness further in this region. We showcased our latest hardware and software innovations as well as product updates to our existing and potential customers and partners.”

At the Synology Solutions Day 2019, Nick explained in detail about Synology Surveillance Station, while showcasing DVA3219, Synology’s newest NAS model dedicated for surveillance. He also explained about the updates made to various features of the Surveillance Station.

Jenn Yeh, Synology’s Product Marketing Manager, gave an overview of the company’s approach to data backup and data protection that are offered across the entire range of businesses and enterprises in Active Backup Suite and Synology Drive.

For medium sized businesses looking for an on-premises file server, with built-in software for file sharing, file syncing, backup and recovery, Synology offers a significant range of solutions. Synology NAS provides a wide range of powerful but free applications, not to mention most of them come free with the one-time purchase of the NAS device, which according to the company, has saved their clients a tremendous amount of money from paying premium to other service providers.

“We would like to let our channel partners know that Synology is one of the best alternatives for on-premise file server. With the versatility of Synology NAS, we not only expect our customers to save costs significantly, but to also find value in our products that exceed the capital investment,” said Jheng.

Demo stations at the event location gave channel partners a hands-on feel of the various solutions including on-premises file server, file sharing, file syncing, backup and recovery applications and Surveillance Station. Synology remains bullish about its medium to long term growth, using Dubai as a base to launch its regional go to market activities.
