Corinium Global Intelligence, organisers of the DataCon Africa conference, held the inaugural DataConian Hall of Fame Awards last night at Century City Conference Centre alongside the conference.
Chris Read, Managing Director for Corinium Global Intelligence: Africa said the awards were launched alongside the conference in an effort to recognise industry excellence from both individuals and teams that are driving data and analytics innovation throughout Africa.
Nominations for the various categories were driven by peers and self-nomination was not only allowed but encouraged.
The very prestigious Data and Analytics Leader of the year category was voted for by peers, whereas all the other categories were vetted and judged by the panel of award judges consisting of Howard Diesel, President, DAMA, Lavina Ramkissoon, Advisor, African Union and Gareth Becker, Content Strategist, Corinium Global Intelligence.
Corinium connects C-Suite executives in the Data, Analytics and InfoSec space and focuses them into discussion groups where genuine progress can be made. Each group is dedicated to the topic of greatest importance and includes the most knowledgeable people on the subject.
