Tenable has formally closed its acquisition of Ermetic, an innovative Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) company and leading provider of Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM).
The move marks a significant milestone in Tenable’s mission to shift organisations to proactive cybersecurity. It also enhances both the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform and the Tenable Cloud Security solution, offering industry-leading contextual risk visibility, prioritisation and remediation across both infrastructure and identities.
The new combined offering includes unified CNAPP, robust Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) protection, and leading CIEM capabilities. As a result, security teams will now have better context and guidance for efficient and accurate risk remediation. The need for in-depth cloud security expertise is diminished, allowing security teams to focus on the most pressing risks.
The integration of Tenable and Ermetic is aimed at solving some of the toughest challenges in cybersecurity, such as:
- Simplifying security management amidst the growing demands of cloud infrastructure
- Mitigating risks arising from the proliferation of user and machine identities in the cloud
- Providing a deep understanding of the complex relationships and cyber-risks across all assets and identities

Ermetic will also improve Tenable Cloud Security, giving teams continuous assessment capabilities for cloud environments, full visibility and business-risk prioritisation.
