Advent One secures acceptance as APAC’s first partner in Red Hat Partner Practice Accelerator Program

Advent One, a reputable automation, cloud and infrastructure specialist in Australia, has announced its acceptance into the Red Hat Partner Practice Accelerator Program, solidifying its position as the first partner in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region to join the program.

With over 25 years of industry expertise, Advent One continues to demonstrate its commitment to delivering innovative infrastructure and automation solutions to enterprise and commercial-sized organisations across Australia.

Being part of the invite-only Red Hat Partner Practice Accelerator Program, Advent One joins an exclusive group of partners globally that have demonstrated advanced technical knowledge and proven business practices in Red Hat professional services related to automation and infrastructure development. The program positions Advent One as trusted experts, validated by Red Hat, who are able to architect, implement and successfully drive automation projects that are tailored solutions for commercial customers. With this program, Red Hat is empowering partners such as Advent One to lead the full commercial customer lifecycle while providing differentiated and impactful business outcomes using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat OpenShift.

John Twine, CEO of Advent One, said: “Our investment in upskilling the Advent One team, and subsequent acceptance into the program, ensures that commercial and mid-sized organisations in Australia have reliable and economical access to Red Hat expertise.

“All too often, we see commercial organisations unable to implement automation across their cloud, infrastructure and security services due to a lack of skills or technical complexity, especially in legacy environments. Their risk appetite is low unless guided and advised by a highly capable team, like Advent One.”

Talor Holloway, CTO of Advent One, said: “Acceptance into the Red Hat Partner Acceleration Program isn’t just based on software sold or certifications gained. To be accepted, we had to demonstrate our ability to architect and implement impactful Red Hat Ansible and Red Hat OpenShift solutions tailored to the unique environments of commercial-sized organisations, including providing multiple case studies and reference architecture. This assessment process is powerful and hard to achieve.

“However, during the assessment process, we were able to showcase our Red Hat Ansible playbooks and our strong methodology to discovery, sizing, delivery types and platform usage that ensures successful delivery of key automation initiatives that are on time and on budget.

“Our expertise and strategies often rival those seen in the enterprise space and we have multiple customers demanding more of our unique frameworks once they see how automation accelerates their projects, ensures delivery resilience and helps them scale their IT services without increasing headcount.”

Commenting on how a commercial organisation would start to build automation in their IT environment, Holloway advises: “Start small and scale up by changing repetitive workloads, like patching, with automation. Partner with an experienced team to drive the first initiatives, and then upskill your team along the way.”

“Once you’re underway, then you can look for tool consolidation opportunities or major events like migrations where automation can significantly streamline processes. Generally, we get our customers to this stage in about six months. From there we can start looking at integrating mission-critical applications, like ServiceNow or cloud hyperscalers, to maximise automation benefits. It’s a journey, but worth it and definitely achievable with the right partner in your corner.”

Garry Gray, Senior Director and Head of Ecosystems, Australia and New Zealand at Red Hat, said: “The current challenge and infinite opportunity for all of us right now lies in areas like Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation and edge. As the hybrid cloud landscape continues to evolve to support these, our approach requires constant evaluation, collaboration and adjustments depending on a customer’s unique business needs and IT footprint. Together with partners like Advent One, we will continue to help customers on whatever journey they choose and meet them where they are with the capabilities they need to succeed. As a long-term partner of Red Hat, Advent One has shown true expertise and innovation consistently and we are thrilled to welcome them into the Red Hat Partner Acceleration Program that will allow us to work more closely in driving innovation for customers.”

Advent One’s acceptance into the Red Hat Partner Practice Accelerator Program reinforces its position as a leader in automation and cloud services in Australia. With a strong focus on customer success and a proven track record of 25 years of delivering tailored solutions, Advent One continues to set the standard for excellence in the industry.
