Dubai Computer Group identifies buyer and seller dialogue as key in 2017

Attendees included Achiever Computers, Al Masa Distribution, Aptec Ingram Micro, Asbis Middle East, Daisytek Computers, Experts Computer, FDC International, Gulf Shadows Computer System, Logicom, Mitsumi Distribution, Quality Computers, Redington, Tiger General Trading, Transworld Computer Technology, and Trigon.

With a view to providing a healthy business environment for 2017 and beyond for the IT channel business, Dubai Computer Group has initiated business meetings for both buyers and sellers in soliciting feedbacks. As a first step towards this objective, Dubai Computer Group called a meeting of leading suppliers to broadly discuss reforms that would redefine the business landscape.

Dubai Computer Group initiated business meeting was held at Ramada Jumeirah Hotel on 28th Dec and was attended by a mix of 15 leading suppliers including major distribution companies and top importers. The meeting started with short presentation from Dubai Computer Group on the need for business reforms, current business trend and formative measures.

The attendees included management representatives and credit controllers from Achiever Computers, Al Masa Distribution, Aptec Ingram Micro, Asbis Middle East, Daisytek Computers, Experts Computer, FDC International, Gulf Shadows Computer System, Logicom, Mitsumi Distribution, Quality Computers, Redington, Tiger General Trading, Transworld Computer Technology, and Trigon.

All participants supported this business meeting initiative from Dubai Computer Group and have agreed to participate in future meets under the canopy of Dubai Computer Group. This meeting was sponsored by ASBIS Middle East.

Each company was allowed to present their views, concerns and suggestions. Everyone was unanimous in agreeing on the below:

  • To have a viable business eco-system and to make the industry trustworthy
  • Credit controllers of distributors will meet every month along with Dubai Computer Group team and selected partners on sharing information and planning
  • Buyers concerns to be respected and meeting of buyers to be initiated to get their viewpoint

Dubai Computer Group will be organising a meeting for buyers as well and understand the difficulties and solutions that can increase productivity and profitability. Also, an expanded version of leading supplier meeting is being planned shortly.
