A Huawei Cloud COMPASS 2023 has been held with the theme ‘Leading Innovations with Everything-as-a-Service’.
The event saw the participation of over 200 industry leaders, business professionals and technology experts from the Internet industry in Latin America, as well as executives and specialists from Huawei Cloud.
This event focused on how cloud computing will accelerate the Digital Transformation for the local Internet industry, sharing best practices, the latest technologies and innovations from Huawei Cloud.
Jacqueline Shi, President of the Department of Marketing and Global Sales Services of Huawei Cloud, emphasized Huawei Cloud’s commitment to supporting Latin American customers and partners in their Digital Transformation.
“Over the past five years, Huawei Cloud has been growing rapidly not only in Latin America but also in global markets. Our business in Latin America increased by over 50% last year,” she said.
“We appreciate all your trust and support. I believe that this time, by visiting China, you can gain many new ideas, new technologies and embark on a new journey with Huawei Cloud.”
Daniel Zhou, President of Huawei in Latin America, said: “In Latin America, Huawei Cloud has three main regions and the largest number of availability zones (AZs). In the second half of this year, we will launch new AZs in Brazil, Mexico and Chile.
“By then, Huawei Cloud will have 11 AZs in Latin America. We are grateful for the trust of 5,000 customers and the support of 1,400 local partners.
“In return, we will work closely and confidently with you to promote Digital Transformation and innovation in the next decade.”
Currently, Huawei Cloud is the fastest-growing cloud in Latin America and has become one of the top four clouds in the region.
Mark Chen, President of Global Solution Sales, summarized the unique value of Huawei Cloud as ‘accessible, innovative, reliable and globalized’.
He said the KooVerse, Huawei Cloud’s unified global infrastructure, enables global customers to access stable and efficient services on Huawei Cloud quickly.
Additionally, Huawei Cloud has launched customized solutions for industries such as e-commerce, Fintech, media and entertainment, and online education. These solutions are expected to bring new experiences, efficiency, and business models for customers to unlock new growth opportunities with Huawei Cloud.
Fernando Liu, President of Huawei Cloud Latin America, stated that Latin America will find growth mechanisms for its digital economy in sectors such as Fintech, education, e-commerce, as well as media and entertainment, where opportunities and challenges arise.
Huawei Cloud has launched a series of innovative cloud services, such as Enterprise Switch (ESW), Cloud Container Instance (CCI), and Avatar Digital in Latin America, to accelerate the local digital economy.
