Huawei and its exclusive partner in Brazil for data centers, WDC Networks, a technology company operating in the telecommunications, solar energy, data center and corporate sectors, listed on B3, have announced the new Huawei Brazil Data Center Channel Program, targeting main contractors, integrators and IT resellers.
This new channel program, WDC Select, is aimed at business partners working with Huawei’s data center solutions. It establishes the main guidelines for the operation and benefits of the solutions offered by WDC Networks’ partner network, the exclusive distributor of this portfolio in Brazil. The portfolio includes products and solutions such as lithium batteries, air conditioners for data center infrastructure, air fusion modules and rectifiers of various sizes and powers.
According to Vanderlei Rigatieri, CEO, WDC Networks, an exclusive program for data center partners is driven by the increased demand for solutions and good business opportunities.
Rigatieri said: “With the evolution of political and economic conditions, we have seen a market revitalization due to the resumption of projects halted at the end of 2022. Every day new partners bring their demands to WDC, allowing us to explore new business opportunities and projects, leveraging the Turn-key and DaaS models, incentive campaigns and support for channel training and specialization.”
Modular and intelligent data center
In addition to the channel policy, Huawei will introduce the new Huawei Fusion Module product line: An intelligent modular data center solution dedicated to providing customers with simple, efficient and reliable data center solutions.
It is a highly integrated modular solution that includes power supply, cooling, rack, enclosure, cabling and management systems in one module reaching the requirements of fast delivery and on-demand deployment.
Furthermore, the Huawei Smart Module utilizes intelligent i3 management to comprehensively improve the reliability and efficiency of the power supply and cooling system. It significantly enhances data center availability and energy efficiency.
Digital Power: Integrated opportunities with solar energy
The data center partnership between Huawei and WDC Networks happened in June 2022, when the first alliance between the companies, focused on solar energy through the Digital Power business division, was almost one year old.
Leading the digitalization of energy for an intelligent and sustainable world, Huawei Digital Power contributes to improving the energy efficiency of infrastructure facilities – a demand that can be useful in data centers, among other applications.
According to Rigatieri, there are numerous business opportunities in offering solutions for solar energy generation through photovoltaic modules, contributing to the self-sufficiency of medium-sized data centers, for example, which are increasing as the deployment of 5G and Edge data centers progresses throughout the country.
For the CEO, sustaining business lies in the ability to quickly understand and implement the innovations demanded by both the solar and digital energy markets.
Rigatieri concluded: “Today, lithium batteries are among the key technological trends for energy storage due to various advantages, including higher energy density, longer lifespan, lower cost per cycle and low maintenance, among others.”
