SAP cloud solutions sales are continuing to grow in Latin America with the rapid adoption of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition showcasing the company’s on-going success in the cloud market.
SAP has presented the results of the second fiscal quarter of 2023 in Latin America: for the 33rd consecutive period, revenues from sales of cloud solutions grew by double digits.
Globally, SAP reported 22% growth in cloud revenue in constant currency during the second quarter of 2023.
The highlight is the rapid adoption of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, the ready-to-go public cloud ERP that offers industry best practices and ensures maximum innovation. Currently this solution is available in three markets: Colombia, Chile and Mexico, and will soon be available in the Brazilian market.
RISE with SAP, the Digital Transformation offering that adapts to the pace, needs and budgets of each company, continues rapid adoption and reported double-digit growth.
Empresas Polar, a Venezuelan food and beverage corporation with additional production plants in Colombia and the United States and sales in America and Europe, joins the RISE with SAP comprehensive offer with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, to take its first step in its migration process to the cloud.
The company, with more than 80 years in the market and known for its mass consumption brands such as Harina PAN (for the preparation of the traditional arepa) or Polar beer, requires an intelligent platform to ensure business continuity and a technological evolution in phases that will help it simplify its operating models, update its applications and facilitate the technological adoption of its direct and indirect workers.
GOL, a leading Brazilian airline, seeks to strengthen its ERP capabilities in the SAP cloud and improve integration with other airlines that use the same platform. With a fleet of more than 140 aircraft, a workforce of 14,000 employees and an extensive network of more than 80 domestic and international destinations, its goal is to harness the power of RISE with SAP and add financial solutions from SAP to ensure data consistency and gain insights.
Another to join RISE with SAP to support its operation is a leading Colombian conglomerate in the food sector, Colombina. The company commented that this solution will allow it to boost its food manufacturing and marketing processes, in order to continue efficiently delivering its products to more than 750,000 customers around the world in more than 85 countries.
Another large multinational to join the SAP cloud is Santander. The Spanish financial group and a leading player in the sector in Brazil, will use SAP Business Technology Platform to revolutionize the banking experience of its customers by integrating functions and processes directly into SAP ERP.
This innovation will allow companies to streamline operations, since they will not need access, other than online banking. Santander aims to simplify daily procedures, eliminate unnecessary steps, reduce risks and offer a more fluid, efficient and comfortable experience.
SAP’s public cloud stands out this quarter for its accelerated adoption in the markets where it is initially located: Colombia, Chile and Mexico. Katcon, a Mexican company dedicated to the manufacture of catalytic converters and exhaust systems for the automotive industry, opted for the comprehensive offer RISE with SAP backed by SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud to automate processes, increase visibility in its supply chain, reduce operating costs and avoid errors due to manual procedures in its manufacturing plants.
Additionally, it acquired other solutions such as SAP Ariba, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Concur and SAP Business Technology Platform to scale its cloud journey across its auto parts business.
The newly introduced public cloud-based GROW with SAP offering has debuted in Brazil by Ília, a technology company specializing in digital products for customer retention and conversion.
The organization has ambitious expansion plans and relies on this offering backed by the robust and scalable SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition to improve its governance, agility and productivity, quickly benefiting from continuous innovation, real-time data, automation and analytics.
This will not only give Ília access to the latest industry best practices but will also enable consolidation across all its subsidiaries through group reporting, driving efficiencies throughout the organization.
Another noteworthy fact from the results report is that the partner ecosystem continues to play a key role in the company’s growth: the sale of cloud solutions offered by business partners showed robust double-digit growth.
In a breakdown by industries, engineering and construction, consumer products, automotive and especially travel and transportation stood out in this period.
“The results report is, in addition to a demonstration of the company’s financial and supply health, an excellent snapshot to understand the trends and paths that our clients prefer,” said Sonja Simon, CFO of SAP Latin America and the Caribbean.
“The growth in segments such as RISE with SAP or our new public cloud proposal clearly tells us that companies need flexible, simple and adaptable models to adapt to their particular needs to unleash their innovation potential.”
