Vittude Insights identifies risk groups, monitors claims and helps companies allocate healthcare investment efficiently.
Vittude, a leader in the development and strategic management of mental health programs for companies, has just launched Vittude Insights, a data intelligence software designed to ensure the effectiveness of investments in employee mental health care initiatives.
The solution provides a qualified analysis of data collected on its online platform, in its mobile application and also in the integration of external occupational health databases and health operators, generating accurate insights for efficient allocation of resources and adoption of co-ordinated care protocols aimed at the best health outcome for employees. The main objective is to provide companies with the necessary expertise to transform health data into Corporate Intelligence.
With the software, contracting companies can monitor adherence to psychotherapeutic treatment and the clinical progress of each team member. They can identify risk areas and use tools to implement action plans aimed at building a cognitively sustainable work environment. These plans are supported by mental health care coordinator programs, which may include subsidizing psychotherapy sessions, providing psychiatric follow-up, covering medication costs and offering support from a multidisciplinary team.
In March 2022, the World Health Organization (WHO) released a global mapping of mental disorders that indicated a 25% growth in the prevalence of anxiety and depression among the post-COVID-19 global population. In 2023, the INSS recorded a 38% increase in absences due to mental disorders, accounting for more than 288,000 people being away from the labor market.
“Over the last two years, we have observed a significant increase, not only in the volume of mental disorders, but also in their severity, including a greater screening of suicidal thoughts among employees and their dependents,” said Luckas Reis, Head of Psychology at Vittude.
“In 2023, several companies were impacted by significant adjustments in the premium paid to health insurers and also saw an increase in the Accident Prevention Factor (FAP), a multiplier that supports the calculation of a contribution that is levied on the companies’ payroll to fund special pensions and benefits resulting from work accidents.
“This increase in costs directly compromises the sustainability of companies in the medium and long term. Listening to the needs of our customer base, we concluded that the market needed a data solution to support the strategic and efficient management of corporate mental health programs. Thus, Vittude Insights was born.”
In a practical way, Vittude Insights consists of five essential modules: mental health census, organizational scenario, clinical management, proactive claims management and complementary well-being mappings. In the first module, the company has a tool to evaluate the dynamics of work organization and how it can impact the employee’s health.
Within the organizational scenario, insights emerge about cognitive ergonomics, absenteeism and the risk beacon. In the clinical management module, analyses are observed on adherence to psychotherapeutic treatment, the clinical evolution of each employee and feedback from psychologists.
From the integration with health operators, we have the module for proactive management of claims, where it is possible to identify hyperusers and potential cases of people living with psychological suffering who are not yet within a co-ordinated care program. In addition, this module allows the identification of possible inefficiencies in the use of health plans.
In the Vittude app, complementary well-being mappings include evaluations of emotions, sleep quality, and responses to psychometric scales that measure anxiety, stress, depression and work-life balance.
“The crossing of all this data, the integration with external databases, such as that of health operators, preventive alerts for risk groups and the availability of strategic KPIs such as absenteeism, constitute an unprecedented innovation for the reduction of absences and the severity of cases,” said Tatiana Pimenta, CEO of Vittude.
“This is a launch that makes me completely emotional, since the solution manages to unite two primordial things: better mental health for people and greater results for companies. In order to democratize access to mental health (Vittude’s mission) we need the support of organizations. A structured program, with resource allocations in promotion, prevention, and quality care actions are essential to change the outcome of people’s health.
“We are sure that Vittude Insights adds immense value to our ecosystem of solutions, being crucial for end-to-end monitoring, which enables the management of the company’s entire population, people who are healthy and people who need care, in different complexities.”
The mental health crisis is so serious that the Health Committee of the Chamber of Deputies recently approved Bill 2364/23, which grants a discount on Corporate Income Tax (IRPJ) to companies taxed based on actual profit that adopt mental health programs in the workplace.
“This movement is a great reinforcement of the importance of the topic we deal with here at Vittude. It shows that to stop the escalation of illness, teamwork will be needed between government, employers and companies such as Vittude, which develops cutting-edge technology to solve today’s mental health problem,” concludes Tatiana Pimenta.
