SAP Concur and BBVA form new partnership

The partnership enables the automation of the reconciliation process, easing the administrative burden on companies and employees and allowing them to optimize their financial operations visibly and securely.

After a successful business relationship for years, the financial institution BBVA and SAP Concur, a leading platform for integrated travel and expense management, have announced new preferential conditions for contracting Concur Expense.

BBVA Pivot customers will receive a 20% discount on SAP Concur solutions. This offer will be available to BBVA customers in Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, Spain, Portugal and Turkey. The partnership enables joint clients to manage and control expenses more effectively by automating payment and settlement processes with the confidence of an international bank like BBVA and a market-leading solution like SAP Concur.

The integration of BBVA and SAP Concur solutions offers several advantages. Most notably, it enables the secure use and universal acceptance of corporate cards as a means of payment, provides the ability to query and settle expenses through customized tools and offers integrated data management tailored to the company’s necessities at a local, regional and global level.

BBVA Pivot’s Global Commercial Cards solution allows clients to manage their corporate cards conveniently, providing detailed access to movements and expenses by category, consolidated summaries by subsidiary and the ability to filter information by date, country or company.

This integration of BBVA Pivot Global Business Cards with the SAP Concur platform offers virtually immediate availability and enables automatic reconciliation of card movements with expense data in Concur, in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.

The use of BBVA corporate cards benefits both employees and companies. Employees enjoy a secure and globally accepted means of payment, avoiding the use of cash or their personal cards and a more convenient and user-friendly settlement process, taking photos of expense receipts from the SAP Concur mobile app and without the need to keep these receipts in most cases (depending on local legislation). Companies, meanwhile, can efficiently control employee expenses and simplify payment management, eliminating cumbersome and unoptimized processes.

Sergio Ortega, Global Cash Management Discipline Leader, BBVA, said: “Employee expense management and payments to suppliers are often associated with cumbersome processes, with low levels of automation and unclear policies. We offer a solution based on a corporate card for employees that allows companies to quickly identify where, how and when each expense was made, with full traceability guaranteed. It is available in eight countries and adapts to the needs of companies of all sizes.”

Denis Tassitano, Director, SAP Concur for Latin America and the Caribbean, added: “This strategic alliance represents a significant milestone for the corporate market, reliably simplifying the adoption of credit cards. Our integration automates the entire reconciliation process, easing the administrative burden for companies and employees, allowing them to optimize their financial operations visibly and securely.”
