Microsoft has announced Glaucia Rosalen, Chief Financial Officer of Microsoft Brazil, as the new leader of diversity and inclusion (D&I).
Within Microsoft this role is taken on a voluntary basis. Rosalen continues the work initiated by Danni Mnitentag, Vice President of Partners and Channels for Latin America at Microsoft.
Rosalen’s focus is to ensure that Microsoft’s four pillars of D&I (women at Microsoft, blacks at Microsoft, LGBTQIA+ and accessibility) are integrated to make Microsoft’s culture more diverse. She aims to maintain consistency in two key areas: attraction (recruitment) and retention (development and career opportunities).
With over 23 years of experience in finance and controlling, Rosalen holds a degree in business administration with an emphasis on foreign trade. She has postgraduate degrees from Mackenzie and PUC-Campinas, an MBA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, and has been with Microsoft for 10 years. According to Rosalen, diversity and inclusion are fundamental aspects of Microsoft’s culture.
“I am deeply honored to lead the diversity and inclusion department at Microsoft Brazil and continue the excellent work done by Danni Mnitentag and the pillar leaders,” said Rosalen.
“I share Microsoft’s vision that having a diverse team capable of generating innovation through different ideas and perspectives is essential. I know we are on a journey of evolution in this regard, but I am pleased to see the results we have already achieved in this area and to have the opportunity to be an ally, using my voice in society to advocate for more inclusion in the sector.”
